Cartoon Conspiracy Theories

Hello there readers! Being born in the 90's definitely served me well as some of the most amazing cartoon shows aired on television and I basically grew up watching Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, As Told by Ginger and many more.

Lately i've been doing some researches on conspiracy theories regarding Nickelodeon cartoons that circulated in the late 90's. At first when I read the theories, I just thought it was someone's wicked mind trying to ruin our childhood but as I got deeper into the context of the story, some or might as well I say most of it actually makes sense. Now these theories have not yet been approved or anything by Nickelodeons reps and i'm taking these theories from various secondary source outlets so it's not 100% valid. But I can say though that at the end, it is up to you if you want to believe it or not but I think this was a interesting yet disturbing new thing i've learned.

Rugrats

All the babies in Rugrats are actually dead/not real, it is all a manifestation of Angelica's messed up imagination. Angelica felt lonely due to the death of her mother. And get this, her doll Cynthia is a assumption of what her birth mother is like because she died of overdose and Angelica knows that her current gold digger mother is not her real mother even though she convinced that she is. Growing up, Angelica did not know who to rely on so she made characters in her imagination come to life.

Tommy died soon after he was born that is why his father, Stu is a toymaker. He made toys for his child that never had the chance to live. Chuckie died in his mother's womb when she was involved in a car crash, which is why in the show his father, Chas is always worried. The Devilles had an abortion and because of that, Angelica did not know it would be a he or a she so she assumed they were twins. The only baby that was real was only Dill, but Angelica hit him because she could not differentiate between what's real and what's not and it results in Dill having a brain damage, which explains why Dill was kind of a outcast in All Grown Up.

Later on in All Grown Up, Angelica was still suffering from her mental disturbance so when she grew up, she also made the 'babies' into older version of themselves. Later on in following her birth mother's footsteps, Angelica dies because of drug overdose. Now, there are sources saying that Suzy was Angelica's only friend and Suzy was also a psychiatrist who listened to her stories. Also, there are also sources that say Suzy is a real psychiatrist who joined Nickelodeon in shaping the cartoon program.

Hey Arnold!

Arnold is a kid who has a head that is shaped like a football and he was also an orphan that lives with his grandparents due to the death of his parents that were involved in a plane crash. But there are sources believe that his grandparents are his actual parents and due to their age, they could not deliver a normal birth process which is why Arnold's head is shaped like a football, he is suffering from hydrocephalus.

The sad part is, some sources also says that Hey Arnold! is based on a true story of a boy who lived in the lower side of New York and he did in fact was suffering from hydrocephalus. And when the reps of Nickelodeon found out, the show was immediately cancelled.

Ed, Edd n Eddy

The kids that lived in the cul-de-sac neighbourhood are actually all dead. Ever wondered why there were never any signs of adult in that show? They are all eternal children who died in different eras. Another source also tells how this theory is true that, the tongues of the characters were all in different colours, which can be a sign of a decaying body.

Spongebob Squarepants

There are two theories that spiralled the internet regarding our favourite sponge that lives under the sea inside a pineapple. There are sources that tells the characters of the show originated from a nuclear radiation in Bikini Atoll and all of the creatures in Spongebob was the aftermath of the chemical activity. And get this, the creators of Spongebob Squarepants were Marine Biologists.

There are also sources that say that all of the characters were drug addicts. Spongebob could be instantly happy or sad at a blink of an eye because he was addicted to meth. Patrick is a stoner, Squidward was always angry because he was under the influence of heroine, Mr. Krabs is on coke which leads him to the obsession of money, and Sandy is an alcoholic which almost kinda explains why she looks kinda high in almost every episode.

Scooby Doo

It is everyone's favourite mystery-solving gang and who does not love Scooby Snacks? Sources tells that the villains of Scooby Doo were actually a representation of accomplished people in the economic depression who had gone mad because of the flop of the unstability in the economic condition back then. That is why most of the villains were scientists, smart criminal minds, success businessman, etc.

The Jetsons & The Flintstones

One family lives in the past and one family lives in the future. Both are actually from the same post-apocalyptic era that took place in different areas. Aside from the same drawing physiques, it is questioned why in the Flintstones that there were advanced technological ideas that were incorporated into their stone age materials.

Winnie the Pooh

The storyline of Winnie the Pooh holds subliminal messages throughout the show where every character from the cartoon sequence suffered from a mental disorder. Pooh suffers from a eating disorder which can be seen from his obsession towards honey, Piglet suffers from anxiety which can be notify from her uneasiness when something comes up and she can't remain calm, Tigger suffers from ADHD which is why he is always jumpy and all over the place, Christopher Robin suffers from schizophrenia where his delusional mind takes things to another level and believing his stuffed animals are all real, Rabbit suffers from OCD where there were many segments of her being obsessive towards being neat and having compulsory thoughts over and over again, Owl suffers from Narcissistic personality Disorder where he often thinks he is the best and the wisest amongst all, and last but not least, Eeyore is suffering from depression, he always feels sad and useless and almost gloomy in every single episode.

That is all that I can do my research and again , I do NOT expect you to believe these conspiracy theories but just to broad up your way of thinking and I hope it can make you all do more of analytical thinking every now and then :)

xoxo,
Gia
